Pleasant Grove High School Football
In their last home game of the year, the Cavemen finished strong in a physical battle against long time, cross-town rival Pleasant Grove in a 13 - 0 shutout of the Vikings. This is the first shutout for the defense in what turned out to be a grueling battle of "bend but don't break" mentality. New comer, Andreas a.k.a. "NORWAY" had a dominating performance on the Defensive Line causing multiple hurries on the QB and being in and around several tackles behing the line of scrimmage. Brad Hill put the game out of reach with an interception returned 50+ yards for a TD late in the 4th quarter lead by several devastating blocks by the rest of the defense. Brad also had a TD reception, but was called back on a bogus unnecessary roughness call. Shayden Luker also had 2 INT's and Spencer Burnett locked up the game by recovering a fumble on PG's last possession at midfield. The Offense was highlighted by a Smith to Boone hook up in the 2nd quarter for a 26 yard touch down. The Cavemen will finish their season on the road next week and look to take care of business at Riverton on Tuesday.
